CHAVERIM OF NEPA

Welcome to Chaverim of Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA), a volunteer-driven organization founded in 2019 with one goal: to support our community in times of need. Whether it’s rescuing a child locked in a car, providing search and rescue, or responding to disasters, we’re here for you. Our volunteers also assist with everyday challenges, like jumpstarting a car on a cold morning, changing a flat tire, or helping families with house lockouts and broken heating systems.

Since our founding, we've answered over 4,500 calls, thanks to our dedicated volunteers who are always ready to help. As a non-profit, we rely entirely on donations to sustain our operations. We’re committed to not only responding swiftly to emergencies, but also to ensuring our volunteers are trained by local Emergency Management Agencies (EMA) and FEMA, and certified through the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program.
